Our Wellness and Activity Platform!
It was developed during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic when getting residents out of aged care homes became difficult, this software was created to bring engaging and personalised activities directly to residents.
This platform is designed to be a user-friendly hub for lifestyle staff, providing easy access to a wide range of activities and information without needing to spend hours searching on Google. It aims to simplify the process of finding relevant and appropriate content for residents.
Key Features and Content
The platform offers a variety of resources to cater to diverse interests and needs:
✅ Personalised Activities: Focuses on engaging residents in activities they genuinely want to do, covering physical, social, mental, and creative aspects of wellness.
✅ Diverse Content: Includes crafting activity books, quizzes, fact cards, and exercise videos that can be displayed on a TV for group participation.
✅ Robust Search and Filtering: Allows staff to easily find activities based on duration, tags (like activity book or content type), group size (one-to-one, small, big), difficulty (easy, medium, hard), and suitability (dementia friendly, visual impaired). All activities are created with suitability in mind.
✅ Detailed Activity Information: Before starting an activity, users can see details like review ratings, duration, tags, suitability, adaptations for different needs (e.g., visual impairments), detailed instructions on how to run the activity, and accessibility information.
✅ World Radio: Access to radio stations and podcasts from all over the world, with options to favourite or download for offline use. This helps staff bring different cultures and interests into activities.
✅ Digital Games: A new addition providing simple or more challenging games for residents.
✅ Calendar Functionality: Build your own activity calendar, add items on the fly, or create lists from found activities.
✅ Wellness Calendar: The platform includes a calendar highlighting special days like national and international days, and even resident birthdays to help with planning relevant activities. This content is generated by the provider, though staff can also add their own reoccurring events.
✅ Constantly Updated: New activities, events, quizzes, and activity books are continuously added to the platform.
✅ Accessibility: The platform is accessible via a wellness app on the Play Store and App Store, allowing staff to use phones or tablets instead of being tied to a computer. Content can also be displayed on TVs via casting or smart TV web browsers. For areas with less technology access, activities can be printed out as PDFs, handouts, flashcards, or crosswords.
